Defense
Bajan pop sensation, Rihanna, has left to fallen star, Britney Spears’ defense regarding her abysmal performance at MTV’s Video Music Awards ceremony in early September. As music critics and fans alike panned Spears’ tepid dance moves and out of time lip syncing, Rihanna instead took up for her claiming her performance is indicative of all the stress going on in her life. Pleading Spears’ case, Rihanna explained, "You can't judge her performance without knowing what was going on with her personally. She had so much pressure for that one performance”. She went on to say that, “it's not easy being on that stage. I performed for a minute and a half, and I was extremely nervous. To have the amount of pressure that Britney had?
