I am starting to question these religions. I mean all religions. Catholicism, Islam, Mormonism and other Christian religions. Reason is leaders in these religions are breakers of what they preach. Look at Pat Robertson. He is a racist, but hears him on pulpit. “God created human being in his likeness.” I wonder if he means White human beings or all human beings as whole.  And this goes to some Christian followers. Why do Christians treat others like dirty as soon as they come out of churches? Did you hear what Gingrich, who is now Catholic, talk about Blacks? Dirty. Did you hear what Santorum referenced Blacks in Iowa –free loaders? Romney Mormon church believes Blacks are cursed. I hope you know Ron Paul gets money from KKK groups. And believe it KKK members belong to Christianity. I have recommendations for readers. Believe in Jesus and God only. God instructions are in all of us. So don’t listen to BS preached by religious leaders because they interpret the Bible or Koran to suit them for money. I hope you have seen Jesus pictures and renderings as a blonde man. I question if Jesus, being Jewish, was blonde. Therefore be careful with preachers like Pat Robertson. They are all hypocrites, liars and abusers of other human in name of their religion. Follow your God’s call already in you.

Miss Carnell seems not to have a clear understanding of  salvation and redemption.

I was brought up by as a Christian and lived in a Muslim household as a child. When I became an adult, I rejected christo-Islamic belief completely. I would say I got a lot of moral principles from christianity but as an African I believe these two religion are alien to us and when I looked into African consciousness I decided the best think for me would be to reject them entirely. I now look into myself for moral guidelines but I admit the base of my morality was Christianity.

As Black historian Dr. John Henrik Clarke said, in a nutshell, ’I question the intelligence of anyone who doesn’t question Christianity.” Everything in the Bible is not correct and neither was it meant to be correct.

If you are depending on your intelligence to save you ,you will be most likely waiting for along time.

Intelligence has never “saved” amyone. The more we know, the dumber we get. Fortunately, I’m already light years ahead of you and know what’s coming down the road before you get there. I’m not looking at life from man’s “intelligence” level; it’s meaningless and only works if you’re invited to The Club. That is a low aspiration to shoot for and all it does is get you, me, and everyone else in trouble. I’ve seen this life from God’s point of view–this ends and none of us have any answers, kapish? Nobody is “intelligent” enough to be “saved” from That, not even Barack Obama. You do your thing, I’ll do mine. And when you get to be my age, remember what I said. For you shall see it again.

Whoever said it was NOT okay?  We question all other religious faiths.  We hold others in judgment.  Why can’t we question it?  People who tell you not to question are telling you not to THINK.  Question everything. Learn to observe.  Then come to your own conclusions.
The “sheep” mentality doesn’t work anymore.

I work with people, who call themselves Christian, and said out of their mouths, “If a sissy choose to be a sissy, he just has to deal with being called a “faggot”, cause that’s what he is! I can’t help what the TRUTH is!” Seriously…PEACE.

I absolutely fear anyone who says they have the answers.  Religions by their very nature breed intolerance and rigidity.  Any God that would have me believe I am less than because I am a woman or gay people deserve abuse for who they love sounds less like a loving being and more like a tyrannical head case.

Bro. Edmondson spoke the truth as clearly as it can be stated. Great job!

There will always be unbelievers and those who “profess” to be Christians, yet their “practice” doesn’t measure up to their profession. As Mika stated, the Bible speaks of these folk extensively in scripture. The question Boyce and Yvette seemed to linger on, however, was one of morality and authenticity. How can one legitimately call themselves a Christian, yet perpetually live a life contrary to the “consequence” (desiring to live for Christ by upholding the moral statutes laid out in scripture) of being born again? They, morality and authenticity in this context, do run over into each other and is a good question to ask.

Christ answered this question somewhat directly in John 13:35 “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Of course, the Bible goes on to expound on how followers of “the way” show their love one for another, so as not to leave any doubt or room for ambiguity in deciphering who are genuine followers of Christ. Therefore, the folk that Yvette and Boyce spoke of, who point the finger at others while living a lifestyle not becoming of a follower of Christ, they qualify themselves to be labeled as imposters and are not of Christ. For Christ came to serve and save, not deceive and mislead. As Bro. Mika said, if you pay close attention, you can spot them rather easily. Those who are more concerned with their own glory than the Glory of Christ is a dead give away.

I began questioning Christianity at a young age. I think not only is it OK, it’s imperative. Where would we be if our ancestors never questioned slavery or Jim Crow?  Funny thing about Christianity, I do not believe in it but I wish I could.  I would love for it to be true, but it poses so many disturbing questions for which “it’s a mystery” and “it’s God’s will” and just “have faith” don’t serve as sensible answers. If God is omnipresent and responsible for everything then he is allowing us to suffer needlessly or for his own sick enjoyment.  That’s not very comforting to me.
