Chris Brown is stepping away from the mic for the year 2012. In what many speculate to be a grab for attention, Brown and “Team Breezy” have decided that the singer won’t do any media appearances for the entire year. Chris’ manager, Tina Davis, said that instead of doing interviews, Brown will be focusing on his music.
“We’re not trying to be rude, selfish or disrespectful in any way,” Davis said. “If people are going to judge anything, judge him for his talent.”
Brown engaged in another publicity-grabbing act earlier this year, when he went to the set of Good Morning America and smashed windows after being asked about his relationship with Rihanna. This incident just happened to occur on the same day his new album was set to be released.
“Chris absolutely plans on attending the Grammy’s and is in talks with producers of the show to possibly perform,” an unnamed source said to NecoleBitchie.com. “Chris performed at the MTV Video Music Awards several months ago, and his performance was simply over the top as he was flying through the air like an acrobat. Chris’ performance stole the show, and he would love to do something at the Grammy’s to top his VMA performance.”
Brown still speaks to this fans regularly on Twitter. We also speculate that this denial of media coverage will cause even more media coverage, which appears to be Brown’s plan in the first place. Have a nice 2012.
