Oprah’s Return Breathes New Life into Her Struggling Network

Oprah’s OWN network has been struggling in the ratings arena since its debut, but Oprah’s return to television may be all that’s needed toOprah Winfrey stop the bleeding.

The debut of “Oprah’s Next Chapter”, which aired Sunday night from 9 to 11pm,  was a ratings winner, scoring the highest ratings for a premiere since the network’s launch back in January 2011. The two hour show focuses on one on one  interviews with newsmakers and celebrities.

And since the only show to do better than “Oprah’s Next Chapter” was the premiere of “Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes”, it’s becoming obvious that OWN needs Oprah Winfrey on screen in order to survive.

People want to see Oprah.  This show is going to be a winner, especially on Sundays.  Agree or disagree with some of her beliefs, she is who viewers want to look forward to hearing and her bringing thought provoking topics to the forefront.

Another winner is her the “Sweetie Pie’s” series.  Glad they renewed for a second season.  This is one to watch.  Growth and increase in the Lou (St. Louis, MO)  people want and NEED to see good reality TV.  This one is a keeper!!!
