Police in Atlanta have obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect in the shooting of the rapper Slim Dunkin. The suspect in the case, Vinson Hardimon, goes by the stage name, Young Vito, and police have been asking him to turn himself in. Part of the reason they are telling him to come in is because they believe that his life is in danger.
“We are urging Mr. Hardimon to turn himself in to authorities because we have reason to believe he may be in danger,” Atlanta police said in a release.
The rapper Slim Dunkin, whose real name is Mario Hamilton, was a member of the Brick Squad Monopoly. He was murdered in an argument that allegedly started over a piece of candy outside a music studio in Atlanta.
The artist Waka Flocka Flame went to Twitter expressing his sadness after the shooting took place. “WISH IT WAS ME … MY F—ING RIGHT HAND IS GONE,” and “IM LOST,” he said.
