Police Officer Charged with Murder After Beating One-Year Old Daughter to Death

A police officer in Mississippi is being charged with Capital Murder after beating his one-year old daughter to death. Natyyo Gray, a vice and narcotics officer, was babysitting the child when he allegedly committed this horrendous crime.

According to Assistant Chief Lee Vance of the Jackson Police Department: ”The baby died of injuries that were described as blunt force trauma to the abdomen area. Certainly from what I know right now, the baby was in the sole care of Detective Gray.”

The sad think is our society just expects once a child is born, mom and dad will be blessed with immaculate parenting skills starting with that first fierce cry. It just sucks people are so stupid. As far as “letting anyone”…. what society has ever been able to successfully legislate against people having babies? Look at all the “pro-life” gobbledygook out there with their spiel that women must have the babies they get pregnant with. Look at the fetishizing of the fetus above the life of the mother. Look at the horror and disapproval both women and men get treated to when they dare to say they don’t want children now or ever. If we in society want FIT parents, we have to educate them to it, we have to have the social support for them, we have to provide realistic, affordable child care and we just have to do better….
