Dr. Conrad Murray Sentenced for 4 Years in Prison

A court hearing has convened in Los Angeles to deliver the sentencing for Michael Jackson’s doctor on his conviction of involuntary manslaughter in the pop singer’s death.

Update at 1 p.m. ET: The judge does not agree with the prosecution’s request for a $101 million restitution to the Jackson family, but says he must pay an “appropriate” amount that will be determined later by the court.

Update at 12:57 p.m. ET: Murray must serve his time at Los Angeles County jail, the judge says.

Update at 12:56 p.m. ET: ”He has absolutely no sense of remorse and no sense of fault and is and remains dangerous,” the judge says.

Call me crazy , but even though it is obvious that Murray greatly contributed to Michael’s death and failed to live up to his responsibility as a Physician I feel a little sorry that this Man’s life is also ruined by this accident .

Imagine living the rest of your life feeling the guilt of having killed one of the most beloved Entertainers of the 20Th Century . That is almost punishment enough.

Anyway other than learning about Jackson’s addiction to prescription drugs and his poor health this trial showed that Jackson was a victim of his own fame that is rather than understand and see himself as just one of many dozens of great performers from Mahaila Jackson to Nat Cole to Sam Cooke to James Brown to Frank Sinatra to Dinah Washington to Stevie Wonder Michael wanted to be the best ever and thought of himself as such .

Maybe if his perspective was more realistic ( very hard when crazy fans all of the world are treating you like the Messiah and your checks are so large the Bank comes to you instead of the other way around ) he would have lead a more normal life and still be around today .

He did achieve one first though he was the first Artist to transform himself from being Black and to do that he must have been full of self hate and hate for our Community .

I feel very sad about the whole situation…I am so sorry for this doctor but I think that nobody won in this case. Michael is gone and he is not coming back and this man has to live the rest of his life as the man who caused Michael Jackson to lose his life. That in itself is extremely hard to bear. I will pray for both these families and especially for Michael Jackson’s kids.

     I don’t feel sorry for that doctor, because all he wanted was money from Michael J. It was about greed!!! He was in dealt, and wanted money. Michael J. was paying him $150 Gs a month for that treatment!! He was the doctor, he knew better, and all he had to do, when Michael J. came to him, he should have refuse that kind of treatment for insomnia, and told him it could killed him as well; just like that nutrition doctor told him; when she did research on “Propofol” anesthesia.

     To me it looked like he deliberately was killing him, by giving him all those damn drugs before he gave him the Propofol anesthesia!! The only people I feel sorry for is Michael J.’s kids and his family, like his mom!! They all loved him so much, and now they have to live without him! That doctor is not the lease sorry for what he did, all he is sorry for is getting caught, and having to go to jail, for killing a great entertainer, and most of all a great humanitarian person!!

Some doctors are just about getting paid, and don’t give a damn about the patient!! I meant doctors like that doctor who killed Michael J. One of them cut my nerve, he was an oral surgeon. I just needed a simple wisdom tooth removed, and now I have freaking permanent nerve damaged!!!! I have numbness on my right side of my face, like my bottom lip, chin, and inside my mouth!! I don’t trust doctors any more, and that doctor who killed Michael J. should have gotten 20 years to life, because he murdered poor Michael Jackson!!

i agree, everything thats coming to murray he deserves. i feel sorry for MJ’s family and friends. we lost one of the greatest pop stars ever and he and his music will truely be missed. RIP Michael Jackson!
