Online Hookups Blamed for Rapid Increase in STDs in the Black Community

Researchers are finding that the rapid growth in online dating is a cause for a sudden jump in the rate of STD transmission within the African American community.

Wow! This comment is hands down the most illogical comment that I have ever read. First of all, African-American women have the highest rates of STDs than any other group of women in the United States. So from a perspective of a black man who is clean and has no diseases, he has a higher chance of getting infected by a black women and a non-black women. Therefore, your comment is erroneous.

This article is completely reflective of the lack of personal responsibility in the black community. Online dating is not the CAUSE of the rapid increase in STDs in the black community. Online dating is only the CATALYST. The CAUSE of the rapid increase in STDs in the black community is black men and black women fornicating without getting tested and wearing protection. Black people need to grow up and stop blaming other people for their own mistakes. Are we really at the point where we are putting the blame on an online program? If you get infected, that is completely your fault because you CHOSE to have sex.

Percy could you tell me where you got that information that African American women have more STDs than any other females in the US? Or could it be that they go to community clinics to gain treatment and that is what is being reported. Just asking the question.

First of all, that is that is not true, Why is it that black women is always labeled as something negative . When you now good and well, there is not a lot a black women, that is online dating when you have to pay. Where do these so call researchers come up with something so not true .And for that remark about black women speading std i fill sorry for you. WAKE UP
