DC Public Affairs official Raynard Jackson has a serious bone to pick with Howard University. In an article recently sent over to us, Jackson says that he considers Howard University to be the worst-run HBCU in the country. Jackson cites a series of incidents in which school officials did not return phone calls regarding job opportunities for their students. Jackson’s stories are conjoined with other incidents, such as the massive protest that took place last year over student financial aid. While we might suspect and hope that Jackson’s issues are isolated, we’ve heard a own set of horror stories about Howard not following through with job offers and making mistakes that wouldn’t be expected from a serious institution. Tell us your story? Have you ever seen Howard mess up and do you think Howard is worse than other HBCUs?

Howard University, in Washington, DC, is one of the elite Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) in the U.S. Howard students are quick to call their school the “real H U!” The reason is so they won’t be confused with another well know HBCU—Hampton University.
