Master P Reaches His ‘Limit’, Heads To Bankruptcy Court To Avoid Paying Employees

Master P Reaches His "Limit"Your Black World Reports:

Percy “Master P” Miller, founder of the New Orleans based, “No Limit Records,” is claiming that he does not have enough money to pay crew members from the film, “Uncle P”, an independent 2007 film starring Miller and and marijuana smoking comedians, Cheech Marin and Ken Jeong.

In 2003, a judge mandated that Miller compensate the crew $240,000 after they sued him for non-payment. The mogul ignored the order, and the same crew brought suit in Los Angeles Bankruptcy Court. TMZ reports that this time they’re seeking a lot more than the original $240,000.

At the height of his career, Miller’s financial worth was an estimated $661 million fortune. Even though “No Limit Records” changed the Hip-Hop landscape of the 90s, he is most recently known for his philanthropic efforts. He and his son, Romeo—who recently was in the news for proposing to Disney tween star, Demi Lovato—have created a basketball camp for inner-city youth in high crime and poverty areas. The father and son duo also donated computers to Audubon Middle School in Los Angeles, one of the lowest performing schools in Los Angeles Unified School District. The school’s API score raised 77 points in 2011 as a result of the generous donation. In addition, his hard work to help the citizens of New Orleans post Hurricane Katrina often goes unnoticed.

We’re rooting for you here at YBW, Master P! Hopefully, you can pay the crew, and continue the good work that you do.

So, if I donate computers to an under-privilege school, that mean the scores will go up as well???? What a malarkey.

@Marion,I bet the scores won’t go down if you donate atleast something,if it’s just your time. You sound like one those complainers. What a douche nozzle.

Percy, pay your bills and continue donating your time and money to help others. No way your community service should be overshadowed by your not paying your bills.White America and self loathing negroes, are only interested in seeing black men in a bad light.Don’t give these loser turds the satisfaction.Handle your business and do even more community service. This will drive the bigots and their bottom feeding slaves crazy.

I think that it is more to this story than what is reported..If he filed for bankruptcy, maybe he did it for many other reasons not just trying to not pay those who worked for him.  Anyway, you have to qualify now to file and apparently he did.  Give this man the benefit of the doubt.  If he was a white man, the comments would be more supportive.  As far as helping schools, at least he did something positive here in L..A. and in New Orleans.

661 million and all he gave back was a sports camp and some computors to a school??
I think blacks and whites should admire better people than just the famous rich ones.  Master P doesn’t even want to pay people who worked for him?  Where did the 661 million go in just a few years?  If you don’t want to see blacks ‘in a bad light’, don’t look up to dishonorable blacks.  He made a lot of money and was very successful- yes, but it seems like blacks (and white, but more so blacks) most admire the blacks who got mo money.  Do you same blacks think Lil Wayne is a great representative of your race?

Whatever! Like he’s the first to do this, and certainly won’t be the last.
