Has Romeo found his Juliet? Apparently so. Her name is Demi Lovato. Romeo, the rapper, actor, and self-proclaimed ”legend” of Dancing with the Stars recently professed his love for singer Demi Lovato in a video that the paparazzi recorded. Going so far as to bend on one knee, the ringless rapper said Beyonce’s song ”Single Ladies/Put a Ring on It” inspired him to propose. He said to Lovato in the video: “You know, I listen to Beyoncé’s song, when she said ‘put a ring on it,’ so I got you!”
In the video, Romeo talks about having a lavish 50 million dollar wedding. He said: ‘We got a few toys at the house, we’ll have the best wedding. I’ll keep her out of trouble.” Of Lovato he said, “She needs a strong, solid man.” When asked what he had to offer her he joked, “Well, you know, once you go black, you never go back.”
Lovato—who went through a high-profile teen break-up with fellow Disney star, Joe Jonas, and was recently released from rehab after checking herself in for “personal issues”—has been quoted as saying, “Having a crush is better than having a boyfriend.” But that isn’t deterring Romeo.
Serious about his crush/proposal, he tweeted, “@ddlovato You’re kind of amaZing.” Romeo admits to having met Lovato three years ago at an amusement park. He said he had on a hoodie and was “chill”. When he told her to take his number, she did so, not recognizing that he was a celebrity. He added, “It was her smile that got me.”
Romeo clearly likes Demi Lovato–a lot; however, no additional news on Lovato’s response to the proposal is available. Romeo, whose real name is Percy Miller, Jr., is the son of the New Orleans rapper and millionaire mogul, Master P.
