Facebook is a social networking tool used by millions across the world, but London Eley,19, used her online status to solicit a hitman for her child’s father, 22 year-old Corey White. On Facebook, Eley posted: “I will pay somebody a stack to kill my baby father. DEAD! HATE HIM.” Timothy Bynum chimed in and wrote: “say no more. what he look like. where he be at. need that stack 1st ima mop that bull.” A “stack” is $1,000.00.
After Eley’s initial Facebook posting, White went to the police, fearing his life. The police arrested Eley in June and charged her with murder-for- hire using a Facebook posting; Bynum was also arrested at that time. White, however, was not without his own troubles; he was the alleged driver in a summer club shooting which left 23 year-old Randy Campbell dead.
Police became even more suspicious when White himself was found shot to death. Multiple theories are being given for the reasons that White was found dead. While the Facebook conversation is certainly a connection, there are others who argue that it was White’s participation in the nightclub shooting that led to his demise.
