Black Man in Mississippi Killed Out of Hatred and Racism

james craig anderson, black news, mississippiOn a recent Sunday morning just before dawn, two carloads of white teenagers drove to Jackson, Mississippi, on what the county district attorney says was a mission of hate: to find and hurt a black person.

In a parking lot on the western side of town they found their victim.

James Craig Anderson, a 49-year-old auto plant worker, was standing in a parking lot, near his car. The teens allegedly beat Anderson repeatedly, yelled racial epithets, including “White Power!” according to witnesses.

Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith says a group of the teens then climbed into their large Ford F250 green pickup truck, floored the gas, and drove the truck right over Anderson, killing him instantly.

Mississippi officials say it was a racially motivated murder. What the gang of teens did not know was that a surveillance camera was focused on the parking lot that night, and many of the events, including the actual murder of Anderson, were captured live on videotape.

CNN has exclusively obtained that surveillance tape. The group of teens that night was led by 18-year-old Deryl Dedmon, Jr., of Brandon, Mississippi, according to police and officials.

I wish he could have either gotten away or had a gun and handled that situation.

The south is such a beautiful place but unfortunately, Mississippi has a long history of hatred and bigotry.   I hope that these people get the death penalty at least.

no it’s not i live in new orleans,we go through the same until they clean their self up it  (AMERICA) will remain ugly

Racism is alive and well in America. If you doubt it just read some of the racist hate filled comments by whites over at the CNN link where the complete story is. Unbelievable as it sounds the most they are talking about giving this white killer(s) is a possible double life sentence NOT the death penalty. They are letting the others off scott free with only one other charged with assault. Black people need to wake up and stop fighting and killing ourselves and realize there is a enemy out there…and it’s NOT us.

Am really shocked to hear that the others will go scott free. It#s really time to wake it up.

The South is not beautiful. It hasn’t been beautiful since it was settled. When the Native American nations ruled it, then it probably was beautiful because it was treated with sacred honor. Today it’s just a playground for white racists and their pawns. That is not beautiful. That’s ugly…Truly ugly.

I remember when I was in the army at Fort Hood and they wanted to send me to to NCO school in Georgia. I would have had to drive through Mississippi. I said, no thanks.

I say keep killing them , these kids did a great job. This is what it will take for us to wake the hell up and get our butts off the bench and become activists but we still waiting on “Hesus” to appear in the clouds and the skies like massa told to do for us to be saved hahaha, keep killing theses pathetic people. We look at each other like the dog that say its own shadow and then runs away or attacks it which either is no good and we HYPOCRITICALLY GO TO CHURCH SPINELESSLY LISTEN O THE SAME GARBAGE REPEATED BY THE SAME PIMPS IN THE PULPIT WHO DON’T ENCOURAGE OR PREACH RELIGIOUS ACTIVISM similar to that of Jeremiah Wright who loves and knows his history and embraces his blackness and teaches others how to economically and politically come together for the benefit of us including being members of the NRA by being mindful that FREEDOM IS NOT FREE ! Praise the LORD Keep killing them !

As an AFRICAN JAMAICAN , it wouldn’t bother me because if we lived in that backword part of the woods, you would NEVER CATCH ANY OF US WITHOUT AT LEAST 1 OR 2 GUNS NEVER. Too many of my African Americans are passive which i understand why because they have been historically outnumber not only literally , institutionally , Judicially and Law enforcement wise. But in this here LAND OF THE GUNS AND WEAPONS and i knew the history of this place , I would be the biggest member of the NRA which i am . And if i ever even went to defecate in my own toilet my glock would be next to my toilet paper. They can keep calling us crazy Jamaicans , i will take that anyday cuz they would know by then to leave us alone . Slaves that stood up back in the days of cowboys and indians stood up with guns and bullets and were called crazy, some were hunted and some were left alone. I have never met a bully in my life that understood or accepted a civil conversation to leave me alone except the fist i put in is mouth. Stand together as one you become that oak tree with a samurai sword. I love my African American people and everybody of African descent everywhere.

And people keep talking about the so-called ‘New South.’ This looks like that same old South.

I am truly at a loss for words.  I knew things were still bad for our people but not this bad. What do we do? We cannot retaliate, things would get worse.  They hae the most guns and other weapons.  Are we facing a race war?? May the true God and Jesus help us all

There will always be some race hate as long as people exist, it is sad that those type of people live among us.

Why is the media so quiet about this tragedy?  Could it be they don’t want another Rodney King occurence?  When someone black does something negative or accused of something negative, it’s all over the news, like in the case of Eddie Long.  This should be blasted all over the news!  I hope we as black people have not gotten too comfortable.
