Woman Has Chemicals Thrown in Her Face by Boyfriend’s Jealous Ex

by Ayvaunn Penn, Your Black World

Takia Anderson and Tamara Jackson put their heads together on a plan to ruin the face of Katrina Watts — a girl they apparently both disliked.   Jackson had become jealous of Watts’ relationship with her ex-boyfriend and sought ways to permanently harm the woman she hated the most.

The Grio reports that “Katrina Watts of Prince George’s County, Maryland was getting out of a car with her three-year-old daughter, when she was doused in a mysterious acid-like chemical that burned into her skin and left her with permanent hair and eye damage.” Watts told NBC News, “My face was burning. I couldn’t see. Immediately I could feel my lips swelling up.” One motive for the attack, according to reports, was that Jackson was jealous that Watts was dating her ex-boyfriend. The Grio proceeded to state that, “Jackson allegedly threw a substance she described as “Drano” on Watts and fled the scene. The attack happened on March 29, 2010, but the effects still linger.”

The effects of the attack are so bad that Watts says she “wouldn’t wish this on [her] worst enemy.” According to The Grio, the victim “says she feels that justice has been served thanks to the diligence of the detective on their case. Anderson has pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against Jackson in exchange for an eight year jail sentence. Jackson was arrested earlier this week.”

i can’t believe people would take jealousy to this level….violence has got to stop. we are hurting our brothers and sisters

If black people would take the time to stop and contemplate the effect their actions would have on others and themselves we could avoid a lot of this nonsense; but black people have been trained to be emotional and not use their brains. They get this primarily from going to church; but it is reinforced through watching television and movies.

Church has nothing to do with this.  That woman is so crazy, Hell is suing her for defamation of character.

Thats more than jealously , thats insane….

yes thats crazy how people can be so jealous where they throw there life away over it.

This type of behavior is inexcusable and unbelivably petty.  How a grown woman can feel justified in behaving this way is shocking.  She was jealous of someone dating her EX-boyfriend.  Homeboy probably peeped she was crazy and had to let her go for precisely that reason.

That type of obsessive behavior is more of an emotional illness, than jealousy. As women, we need to stop being sooooooooooooo needy. Stop acting as if we can’t breathe without a man. Regardless of what people say, there are decent men available. I’ve had one for 26 years. Believe they’re out there. Present yourself in a respectable manner and you will find one. Packaging is everything, go to school, work on your appearance, exercise, eat right, make yourself busy and good things will come to you and don’t settle.
