Mother Kills Baby, Then Carries Baby with Her Shopping

Your Black World.

Toyrianna Smith is accused of doing the unthinkable – she allegedly killed her baby and then carried him around on her chest for the next three hours while shopping.  Her three-month-old son, Ken Blackman, Jr., was in a BabyBjorn, which mounts on her chest.   Prosecutors claim that the baby died after Smith repeatedly beat and suffocated the child the night before.

The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that Smith took the baby to a friend’s house after she went shopping.  The friend suspected that the child wasn’t breathing and saw blood on the blanket.  That’s when she called the police in Harvey, Illinois.

When she met with police, Harvey allegedly confessed to punching the baby several times and suffocating him because he wouldn’t stop crying.  It is also being reported that she’d been drinking vodka with her friends on the night of the beating.  She is being held on $1 million bond.

I would say that she needs to go to prison, but she probably needs a mental hospital.

I say sterilize her azz…I’m not for restricting anyone’s reproductive rights, but after what this girl did to her baby, she gave up the right to every bring another life into this world…When I see young people having recreational sex and having babies like bitches (female dogs), and don’t know how or want to take care of them, then it’s time we as a community do something about it…We have seen this rapid decline with these out of wedlock children being born and everyone grumbling under their breaths and doing nothing about it..I told my children from the time they were old enough to understand about sex, to be responsible with themselves and not to have sex or unprotected sex with someone, you might not want to see twenty years from now, but this person will be tied to you for the rest of your lives, if this person becomes pregnant…We as a community have to take control of this situation because we’re allowing our children to breed for these new slave plantations, jails/prisons and the foster care systems…Our children are funding the foster care programs, are kept in the system and not allowed to be adopted out…When these damaged children leave foster care, they are fed into the penal systems and this vicious cycle starts all over again, when these children have children that they’ll walk away from…

Many are not mentally or finaically ready/fit to have a child. Often when the teen has a child a parent may come to the rescue by insuring the teen does not miss out on their teen years. Although each situation is different, one thing is needed consistantly: those having children need to be prepared to know what to expect.
I had been married for over three years, away from family support and not used to giving up sleep or the idea that now I was responsible for another human being eating, being clean, housed, educated, protected as well as I need extra time to get ready to go some where. I cannot imagine what this wold be like without a husband support, having to work also and never getting a break.
Initially I frowned on the show “Teen Mom” because I thought it glorified teen motherhood, but it put fear into me at my current status in society: homeowner, age (48), income (RN), and education (masters in nursing education);therefore, I can only imagine what it does to a young girls thought process to dispell the idea that the child is a doll that will obey commands and bring accolades of cuteness and bonded  togetherness with a boyfriend. It really is not going to be different and the teen really is not going to get a special pass that the others did not get.
During my daughters teen years, I ensured her that if I wanted another child, I would have one-meaning: if she decided to get a child, she would be the one getting up through the night, feeding, burping, changing diapers, and the freedom of hanigng with friends without child in tote would be over.
Teach young men that wanting to have sex with a girl and telling her you want her to have her baby is not the cool thing to do to a child and teach young ladies that like what happens on the “Teen Mom” show can also happen to them.
On the outside, it may be said that this woman is menatlly ill, but she may have a personaility disorder that required immediate gratification of her not losing sleep even if that meant silencing her baby forever!
Bring your child up in the way they should go and when they get older and meet someone elses child who was not brought up right, yours may return to the original teaching you gave them when they were growing up(not exactly the way the Bible puts it, but to get the message across that being poor does not mean being a bad reflection on society). Tyler Perry movie syndrome exemplifies the idea of the wayward is the hero and the one who goes off to college and becomes a “success” is the villian as it does not show the truth of accomplishing such “success” took tradeoffs of time, not drinking, or drugging, or hanging out, working as many jobs as necessary to achieve your goals and dreams, loss of sleep, and studying. What scares me is that the majority of the audience does not understand this and this was years ago before he netted the millions on his movies. Before anyone goes off on a need to defend TP rocket, I am  not jumping on the Spike Lee band wagon, but merely stating an independent opinion as a “Black” woman who would love nothing more than her people to some day overcome……………………………………………………….!

She needs to be put down.  Sympathy ain’t getting her anywhere.  Prison yes, mental hospital no.  In a mental facility she could be released in a couple of years ready to breed again.
