Wealthy friends of alleged sex offender Dominique Strauss-Kahn have made contacts with his alleged victim’s impoverished family, offering money to make the case go away. The victim, 32, is currently in protective custody and can’t be reached. So why not go directly to her family, some of whom can’t afford shoes?
The West African maid who accused Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault, sodomy, and forcing her to perform oral sex on him has extended family currently living in poverty in West Africa. The average monthly income is $45 and many of her family members walk the streets of their remote village in Guinea with their bare feet. They did not know the maid was an alleged victim until reporters went to the village to inform them. Their village lacks paved roads, electricity and phone lines.
While the maid has been sequestered by the Manhattan DA’s office, there are no barriers to the family. And Strauss-Kahn’s supporters have reached out to them, offering seven figures to ensure that he gets to board a plane to France a free man, and “end” this “media nightmare.”
His nightmare seems to be getting worse as DNA found on the alleged victim’s clothes matches his own. Evidence also includes semen samples found on the hotel room carpet and statements from other hotel employees. In addition, the woman’s claim reveals that she was able to break free from his hold by pushing him against the arm of a chair, causing a gash on his back. His blood was later found on the bed, the wound visible on his back.
The maid explained that she begged for him to stop. “Please, please stop. No!” she cried as he pinned her to the bed, law-enforcement sources said. “Please stop. I need my job, I can’t lose my job, don’t do this. I will lose my job. Please, please stop!” With a cold reply, Strauss-Kahn, allegedly said, “No, baby. Don’t worry, you’re not going to lose your job…Don’t you know who I am?”
One thing we do know about Dominique Strauss, is that he is a powerful man, who has paid for many of his wishes to be granted. Hopefully, in this instance, the price paid will match the crime, if one was committed.
